Skin Care for a day at the beach in the blazing sun!
OK, It’s August and I’m writing this post during yet another torrential downpour in one of the wettest years in UK history. But still, we flock to the beach when the sun comes out and of course we punish our skin during beach holidays abroad.
Regardless of whether you are an Olympic Beach Volleyball athlete or just enjoying the sun on the beach – the same rules to sensible skin care apply. Wear heaps of sunscreen and effective body moisturiser.
How to care for your skin during intense sun exposure
Whilst high-factor sun screens do a great job of blocking ultra-violet ray’s from damaging your skin. Your skin needs to be supported during periods of intense dehydration and this is our recommended skin care regime for a day on the volleyball court our just relaxing on the beach:
- Work Moisturising Therapy Balm into exposed areas of skin at least 30 minutes before going out into full sun.
- Following the above Step apply a high-factor sun screen over exposed skin.
It’s important to allow the Moisturising Therapy Balm 30 minutes or so to absorb fully into the skin before applying the sunscreen to be sure that you get the best deep skin hydration and protection for the longest period of time.
Also be aware that contact with sand and sea will wash off the sunscreen so regular application through the day will be needed.
